Transformative restoration

The Patsy Mink Center for Business & Leadership is Hawaii’s only Women’s Business Center assisting women start and grow their businesses. The Center is located within the historic Laniakea building designed by renowned architect Julia Morgan, completed in 1927.

Construction Budget: $0.3 million

Square Footage: 1,200 sq ft tenant space

Program: Multi Purpose Room & two offices

Completion Date: 2016

In addition to creating a flexible meeting room with storage cabinetry, the Center has two private offices. The historic windows and medallion panels were carefully disassembled, cleaned, repaired, and reinstalled to their original splendor.
